I am attaching a photo taken 2 weeks ago of my boat.

Hi Bob,

You can open Plan Nr.4 (Version Klassenvereinigung - offiziell)

Peter
Hi Bob,
I just checked both PDF file links and they are working fine.

Instead of opening directly did you try "right mouse / Save file"?

If nothing works, I'll mail you the file.

Kind regards
Malte

PS: your boat looks pretty good. Keep on refitting.
Thank you (Ger 60 and Malte) for your replies.

I was finally able to open the .PDF file but only if I used a browser (Bing or Safari) other than my default browser, Firefox.  The odd thing is that I could open many of the other .PDF plan files with Firefox but not the No.4 Components and Fittings which, of course, was the one I needed.  However, even using the other browsers I could not print that .PDF file!?  It is as if there is a copyright issue?  Is that possible?  Safari requested a password to print it!

I was hoping to have someone fabricate the rudder post fitting (ruderbeschläge) which I do not have.  I can probably purchase a manufactured pintel from the sailboat rigging company I plan to use but in the interest of having the original parts I thought I would see what it would cost.

In a future post I will address this issue of 'maintaining originality' during refurbishing of the Pirat.  In short, as much as I would have liked to - I have not. :-(

Best regards,
Bob
Bob,

I see two Versions of Plan #4, they have the same content, but only one of them seems to be printable. Try the other one.

A German specialist for old fittings is Dauelsberg

DAUELSBERG, GD Boote Ochsenweiderweg 6, D-27751 Delmenhorst-Deichhausen, Tel: +49.4221.41207

It's located near the Abeking & Rasmussen boatyard and Dauelsberg owns a lot of original drawings and AFAIK foundry molds.

This is great, Malte!  It is amazing that these parts are available from this company - Dauelsberg.

And regarding the Plan #4 printing:  I was successful!  I thought I had exhausted all possibilities in my attempts to print that file.  Thank you so much for your following up for me.  It is very much appreciated.  -Bob
Your welcome :-)

Please keep us up to date and if you have any question you will get help here.

Cheers

Hi Bob!
Your last message is nearly one year old, did you make some progress? Did you order some fittings from Dauelsberg?
Please let us know.

Kind regards
Malte
